Capital's Wellness Walk for Special Olympics Benefits Area Athletes

KIMBERLY, Wis. – Capital Credit Union recently teamed up with area Special Olympic chapters to host the 5th Annual Capital Wellness Walk for Special Olympics on August 15. An outreach of Capital’s Wellness program, 130 Capital employees, along with friends and family, a group of approximately 26 Special Olympic athletes participated in the Walk which started and ended at the credit union’s Corporate Headquarters at 738 Ford St., adjacent to Hwy 441 and CE. Participants could walk that section of the trail as many times as they wished.

Along with a corporate donation of $500, Capital employees also supported Special Olympics in other ways, donating $3 per person for the privilege of wearing jeans on Walk day and donating funds with a chance to win one of six gift baskets containing items from Capital and other area businesses.  All donations will directly benefit Special Olympics and their programs for Special Olympic athletes.
