Capital's Shopping Cart Races Set For This Tuesday

It’s a spectator sport and everyone is invited to join the fun at Capital Credit Union’s 9th Annual Shopping Cart Races on Tuesday, June 12, 5:30-7:30 p.m.  Nine teams from Capital along with two teams from Larry’s Piggly Wiggly will battle for best costume and first place in the races during the evening, and children ages 4-8 will have the chance to take part in Kiddie Races. Mascots “Maximillion” from Capital and “Mr. Pig” from Piggly Wiggly will also be there to cheer on contestants. All are welcome to attend this FREE event, which includes free food and refreshments in exchange for donations of non-perishable food, personal hygiene and pet care items to help kick off Capital’s Annual Food Drive, June 12 through July 14.
